END OF THE YEAR ACTIVITIES
The next four weeks are full of end-of-the-year activities for all grades. The HCA spring play is next Thursday and Friday. We would love for ALL our HCA families to come see this delightful comedy.
Thursday, May 31, is our graduation banquet. There will be no school on that day for students in grades nine through twelve. Attendance at graduation is required for grades seven through eleven. Field day is Thursday, June 7, and the Awards Program is 7:30 that evening. Students in grades seven through eleven will enjoy their annual pilgrimage to Harkness Park on Friday, June 8. That day is set aside to enjoy fellowship and is the last required school day of the year.
ATTENTION,
ELEMENTARY PARENTS
During the first few weeks of school, frustration sometimes occurs when students seem to have forgotten what they learned the previous year. The Academy offers a summer program called “Vacation Stations” endorsed by BJU Press. Many families have taken advantage of this great program. The child completes two pages a day, which takes approximately twenty minutes. This will help your child begin school right where he left off in the spring. The “Vacation Stations” review book helps your children review math, language, and reading skills which they worked all year to build. This is especially true of their math skills.
Please indicate on the order form below the appropriate Vacation Station for your child. Please send in one order form for each child. You may send in one check covering all stations ordered. Please send the order form, along with your payment, to the Academy office by Friday, May 25. The booklet will be given to your child prior to the end of the school year. This is a very good investment and endorsed highly by our HCA elementary teachers.
PLEASE RETURN THIS PORTION TO THE SCHOOL OFFICE BY FRIDAY, MAY 25
ONE ORDER FORM PER CHILD PLEASE!

BAKE
SALES
What better way to greet warm weather than with an ice cream? The sophomore class will sell brownie sundaes on Wednesday, May 16. The cost is $1.50 each. Sundaes come with a brownie, ice cream, whipped cream, sprinkles, and a cherry!
There will be NO bake sale on Friday, May 18, due to the play.
HCA PLAY THE MATCHMAKER
It’s hard to believe that the HCA spring play, The Matchmaker, is next Thursday and Friday. Anyone attending the Friday, May 18, 1:00 p.m. matinee with his children MUST park in the Presbyterian parking lot across the street. Don’t forget elementary students must have a three-day advance excuse. The deadline for that is Tuesday, May 15. Our top FABC parking lot will be left open for the regular 3:15 school dismissal. We appreciate your help and understanding.
All students are expected to follow HCA Level I dress code for each play performance.
SCHOOL P.E. UNIFORMS
Students in kindergarten through grade seven had a Gym Uniform Order Form sent home. In order to avoid delays in shipping, please anticipate if your child needs a larger size PE shirt or pair of shorts for next year and order the items now. The form and check are due by Friday, June 1, to the school office.
CLASS DUES
Class dues for the freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are due on Friday, May 18. There is a $5.00 penalty for class dues that are not paid by that date. Dues may be given to his class treasurer.
